Dear Whartonites:

Don’t you experience Déjà vu now? The market situation when we circulated our previous Wharton newsletter in September 2011 seems similar to the one we have now. Last fall we speculated about Greece and crashing equity markets. Since then the market went up and back down again. There is one positive difference now that makes us feel better – it’s the sunshine and holiday season ahead of us as opposed to the chilly winds, snow and the busy end of year.

Regardless of the markets we continue our effort to stay together as a club.

1) FAMILY PICNIC - SATURDAY, June 2nd

Please bring your spouse / partner and offsprings to the first Wharton Family Picnic. We aim to make this event attractive for families. It will take place outdoors in one of Moscow parks, we’ll have shashlik, snacks and funs stuff like Frisbee, badbminton, volleyball and soccer balls.

Please help us make this event a success. We need volunteers so if you are eager to help in any way please call Andrei at +7 (916) 683 5447 or Dmitry at +7 (985) 928 4554. At last, please note that our next gathering will take place in the Fall.

2) Wharton MBA Admissions Reception

The MBA Admissions representative is coming to meet prospect students in Moscow this Thursday, May 24th. The reception will be held in Bain office in Lotte Plaza.

The registration numbers run high – we are expecting more than 60 prospects. The Special Thanks goes to EIGHT (8) alumni who volunteered their time to talk and represent The Wharton Club of Russia at this event.

3) LINKEDIN GROUP

We are continuing the effort to maintain our group in LinkedIn - at this point we have just 32 members. Please join the group if you haven’t done so - http://www.linkedin.com/groups?viewMembers=&gid=2700391&sik=1337625737633.

Sincerely Yours,

Andrei Protasov & Dmitry Kulish,

Co-Presidents of The Wharton Club of Russia.
